I have also added more cover art to the The Pogues and Related Releases discography sections. 7th August- Added Shane's Fairytale in Tipp (Evening Herald, December 1996) and Christmas Drinks with Shane (Evening Herald, December 1996). 30th July 1997- A Q article from '96 about Shane's amazing constitution! 24th May - Added an interview with Shane Macgowan, Mark E Smith and Nick Cave from NME, February 1989, an interview from January 1994 with Shane from ZILLO magazine (in German), and ZILLO magazine's review of the Christmas '96 concert (in German). 23rd May - Added a a review of Shane's appearance at the Viper Room in Hollywood, May 1995. 22nd May - Today I've updated the news, redone all of the logos, and added a review of Shane headlining the London/NY Fleadh. 6th May - Well, loads has been added recently. The discography section now has a scan for every single, album, etc.... There are approx. 150 in total, so have a look. Today I added 4 new gig reviews, Review from the Chicago Tribune(August 1995) from a local paper, Review from the Boston Herald (August 1995) from a local paper, Review from a Norwegian paper of the Popes gig at the Echo, Bergen May 1997, and An FOS review of Shane headlining the Homecoming festival, Cork on 1st June 1997. I've also updated the news page with pictures from Holland last month. 28th April 1997 - After a very quiet month, I can now unveil the new, highly detailed discography. Everything in it has been updated, so take a good look around. 28th March 1997 - Completely re-did the links pages today with many new places to visit, so have a look! Also updated the news page earlier this week after meeting Shane - pictures coming soon. Finally, I added the cover art for the Soldat Louis album to the Related Releases section. 19th March 1997 - Added cover art to 3 other Nips releases. 7th March 1997- Been a few weeks, I know. I updated the News section last week, and added about 10 new articles to the In Print section. Today I've added the words to An Irish Airman Foresees his Death, an entry for the new Yeats CD in the Related CDs section, plus more cover art and details of compilation CDs to The Nips section. 15th February 1997 - Hey, it's been a busy 2 weeks and I've hardly had time to do anything to the web pages. Anyway, I've finally got my ass into gear and added the information about FRIENDS OF SHANE. It would be nice if some of you dropped Ingrid a line to show her just what a friendly bunch of people we are on the net! 3rd February 1997 - By popular demand, well DzM actually, I ditched the into sound clip (anyone sorry?) I've also finally gotten around to adding a bibliography section, as quite a few of you had sent in suggestions. BTW, thanks to Steve Kovar for letting me steal his scan of the cover to 'The Lost Decade.' I've also added the lyrics to NW3, Rake at the Gates of Hell, and King of the Bop. Can anyone complete the words to that last song? 31st January 1997 - Added more release details to The Nips discography page, plus two Nips sound clips! 30th January 1997 - Added details for the LILT and Soldat Louis CDs to the related releases with Shane section, plus a new bootlegs section. 29th January 1997 - Spoken to Ingrid and updated the news page with album news, tour dates and broken hips.... 23rd January 1997 - Added lyrics to Christy Moore's version's of Fairytale of New York and Aisling, as well as redesigning this page! 21st January 1997 - Going up in the world - became the official web-site for the 'Friends of Shane International Fan Club'. 20th January 1997 - Added a Telegraph article about a CD of Yeats poetry featuring Shane. 19th January 1997 - Added much more to the discography. Check out the 2 related releases pages, with Shane and without Shane! 18th January 1997 - Busy week! I've added the lyrics to the whole of 'The Snake' and most of the singles. Just click on the song title. There's also 2 new newspaper articles under In Print. 10th January 1997 - Finally completed the logo for the page by saving it as a GIF with a transparent background, and made the introductory sound clip much shorter. 7th January 1997 - The cover art for 'Earthrise II' (Related Releases) and both releases of 'The Snake' (Albums) are now on-line. Also, there's a report from Shane's London gig last month with a set list which I got from the Popes' guitarist (the one with lots of hair) and some photos which we took there. 6th January 1997 - The background is now smaller and neater, and the main logo blends in better too. 5th January 1997 - Today I've tidied up the menus at the bottom of each page, and added sound samples for Alan Stivell's 3 songs with Shane to the Related Releases section. Who would have though it - Shane sings Breton! 3rd January 1997 - Over the past month the Discography section has widely expanded, and other sections have been added. 9th December 1996 - This page is born, originally titled 'Snake With Eyes Of Garnet', with sound clips and cover art for Shane's new Christmas EP. 1st December 1996 - My homepage comes on-line. |
